Sight Words

During your 20 minute nightly reading session, please go over our sight words with your child. (Most sight words are words that the students must recognize by sight and not have to sound out.) Right now, most students are having a hard time with the sight word "said." It is a very common word, but the students cannot figure out what it is by sounding it out. The list of sight words each student should know can be found at the right of this web page. If you need construction paper to make flash-cards or game boards, please let me know and I'll send it home with your child.
