I know the end of the year is a very hectic time, and a lot is going on, so here is a list of all the "special" activities that will be going on throughout the next month.
May reminders:
May 4-7 Teacher Appreciation Week - Along with teachers, our class will also be appreciating our paras: Mrs. Heather, and Ms. Straus as well as the speech/language pathologist: Mrs. Mullen. If you would like to, you may send a note or small token of appreciation anytime during that week. We will also be making small gifts for them in school.
May 7 Field Day - Please remember to bring a sack lunch that day. Also, all 1st grade students are to wear a green shirt and tennis shoes. Sunscreen would also be a great idea as we will be spending a lot of time outside that day.
May 10 Field Day (rain date)
May 13 Zoo Day - We will also be needing a sack lunch this day. Again, please wear a green shirt to make our 1st graders more visible at the zoo.
May 14 Conferences - If I have not yet contacted you about a conference time, please email or call me.
May 19 Picnic at Goddard Park with Reading Adventure Kids - We have a great group of 5th graders that come read to us every other Friday afternoon. These kids would like to go with us to the park and celebrate the end of the year with a picnic. Please send a sack lunch this day.
May 24 1st grade end-of-the-year celebration - A morning at the park! Please send a sack lunch this day.
May 25 Talent Show - Our class will be performing sign language to the song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." As soon as I know what date and time we will be performing, I'll let you know!
May 26 Talent Show
May 27 Last Day - Would you like to have an end-of-the-year celebration? Last year we had an ice cream sundae party. We could have an ice cream sundae party or a pizza party or something else. Email me if you have an idea.
